I don't set up the Direct Debit myself — GoCardless passes your details securely via ourselves to your chosen provider(s), and they set it up with you directly.
Every Direct Debit is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee through your provider(s): if a payment is ever taken in error you're entitled to an immediate refund from your bank, and you can cancel a Direct Debit at any time through your bank.
