What is GoCardless?

GoCardless is the payments company helloBill uses to collect your bank details — it's authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 to handle Direct Debit set-up securely. GoCardless captures and checks your bank details on helloBill's behalf; it doesn't work for any single provider, and it isn't who takes your money day to day: that's your energy, water or other provider, once your Direct Debit is set up.
