What did I sign? What's a Letter of Authority?

You signed a Letter of Authority to helloBill: Hello Bill Limited, company number 10303631. Until September 2026 the company was called The-Bunch Limited, so you may see that name on your copy.

It lets helloBill contact the providers for the services you chose, on your behalf: requesting and providing account information, registering you as the new occupant for water where that applies, notifying your council of your move and checking whether you can get a council tax reduction, sending final meter readings and change-of-tenancy notices for your previous address where that applies, and chasing progress.

It only lets helloBill arrange a new contract or set up a payment for the services you ticked when you signed. Each service had its own tick box, and you signed once for your Letter of Authority and everything you ticked.

Your Letter of Authority covers only the services you chose when you signed it. If you add another service afterwards, you sign a new one for that service. Each one expires when its set-up completes or after 90 days, whichever comes first. You can revoke it at any time by emailing [email protected], and we'll stop anything that's still pending.
