Not as standard. helloBill sets up utilities at your new address, but this doesn't close your old accounts.
Your Letter of Authority does let helloBill send final meter readings and change-of-tenancy notices for your previous address, but unless we've told you we've done that, close your old accounts directly with each provider: the end of the set-up journey reminds you to tell your old providers you're leaving.
If you're switching energy or broadband at the same address, your new provider lets the old one know, so there's usually nothing to close, but the final bill still has to be settled.
helloBill acts only within the authority you've given. Check your confirmation email for the services arranged.
When you move, the accounts for your previous address to deal with are usually energy, water, council tax, broadband and your TV Licence. Before you move or change provider, check whether any of your current providers charge an exit fee. And don't treat a cancelled Direct Debit as a closed account. You can cancel one through your bank at any time, but the final bill still has to be settled, so tell the provider and arrange payment or a refund with them.
